Pakistan fans were shocked after the Green Shirts lost 2-1 to Palestine during the ongoing AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 Qualifiers at the Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium in Arad, Bahrain.
Pakistan took the lead in the 52nd minute through Harun Hamid and looked set to win the match after a goalless first half.
However, Khalied Alnabrisi scored a stunning brace in injury time to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. His goals came in the 90+10 and 90+15 minutes.
Pakistan football team were denied their first win at senior/U23 level since 2018 as a result of the devastating loss.

Earlier, Japan thrashed Pakistan 6-0 in Group D’s first match in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2024 qualifiers last Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Green Shirts lost to Bahrain 3-1 in their second match on Saturday.
Japan topped Group D after a 0-0 draw with Bahrain on Tuesday. The stalemate took Japan to seven points, with Bahrain three adrift. Palestine finished second on six points but it wasn't enough to take them through to the finals.
